TriCounty Community Network (TCN) is a grassroots nonprofit organization that facilitates partnerships among businesses, nonprofits and community members. We keep abreast of the current issues impacting southern Berks, northern Chester and western Montgomery counties and move forward with specific and impactful programs and projects. How do we Impact the Tricounty Region?

The TriCounty Community Network (TCN) is a catalyst for change… a link where community providers, agencies and businesses can turn for collaborative solutions to problems; a vehicle to help community members identify important resources; a connection to vital community services.  To learn about TCN-sponsored projects and programs, click on the page "TCN in the News". 

Our 5 year strategic goals include:

  • Provide comprehensive information and referral service to the tricounty communities
  • Provide forums for an exchange of information and resources specific to health, social and environmental issues 
  • Diversify membership to include more for-profit businesses committed to the tricounty communities of eastern Berks, northern Chester and western Montgomery counties
  • Diversify our Board of Directors to represent health, environment and social sectors
  • Establish a speaker’s bureau for programs and projects

The mission of BERKS ENCORE is to engage the community to enable older adults to achieve a better quality of life by providing a comprehensive program of services, referrals, education and advocacy. Seniors and their families benefit significantly from a single organization dedicated to helping them meet all the challenges they face. Berks Encore’s staff, along with its volunteers, work tirelessly to assist people in filing their income taxes, accessing a myriad of government benefit programs, understanding and selecting the appropriate prescription drug plan under Medicare Part D. Also provided through Berks Encore are Meals on Wheels, The VITA program, fitness classes, Travel Club and special events and seminars.

The Montgomery County Office of Aging and Adult Services (MCAAS) serves as the designated agency within Mont. Co. to develop and provide a comprehensive and coordinated system of services for older and disabled adults. MCAAS serves over 40,000 older Montgomery County residents each year through a variety of services and programs which assist individuals and families in preventing premature institutionalization.  It is also an integral part of the human service delivery system to assist low-income adults, families and physically disabled adults, in achieving self-sufficiency and independence. MCAAS provides in-home services, senior center services, comprehensive assessment, care management, information and referral, caregiver support programs, protective services, adult daily living centers, and other important services and programs to assist county residents as part of a comprehensive continuum of care.
